From the Field
Real fundraising. Real volunteers. Real lessons.
From the Field is where League Launch shares what fundraising looks like when the ideas meet an actual season: the numbers, materials, decisions, mistakes, wins, and things we would change next time.
Not case studies. Field notes.
Most fundraising advice gets cleaner after the fact. Volunteer work rarely does.
From the Field keeps the useful mess in the story: the raffle tickets that had to be distributed, the sponsor benefits that had to be delivered, the reminders that had to go out, the prizes that had to be handed over, and the decisions that looked different once the campaign was underway.
These stories primarily come from my work with Smithfield Little League in Rhode Island, a community league serving roughly 500 players. The goal is not to tell you to copy us. It is to give you enough detail to decide what is worth borrowing.
